Wilo joined a German government delegation to the UAE to strengthen partnerships in sustainable infrastructure, energy transition, and AI-driven water solutions across the region.

The Wilo Group had the honor of joining the official delegation trip of H.E. Katherina Reiche, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. The visit highlighted the deepening strategic partnership between Germany and the Gulf region, with a particular focus on energy, sustainability, and future-oriented technologies.

Throughout the trip, the delegation engaged in a series of high-level meetings and briefings with key government leaders and decision-makers. The agenda included institutional visits to major entities such as the ADNOC Group, where discussions centered on energy transition, industrial transformation, and innovation across critical infrastructure sectors. These exchanges provided valuable insights into the region’s long-term strategies and opened new avenues for collaboration.

Reflecting on the visit, Jens Dallendoerfer, Regional CEO of Wilo AMEA, “International collaboration is vital to accelerate innovation and deliver future-ready solutions. This delegation trip provided a valuable platform to advance our Water AI vision and showcase how Wilo’s smart, sustainable technologies can support national strategies and government ambitions across the regions.”

In Abu Dhabi, Minister Reiche held a series of high-level meetings with senior UAE leadership, including H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; and H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy. These engagements focused on deepening cooperation in energy transition, industrial innovation, and economic diversification. The delegation also met H.E. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, for discussions on sustainable infrastructure and future energy systems.

The visit continued with participation in the German–Emirati Energy Forum, organized by the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK). The forum provided an important platform for dialogue on renewable energy, hydrogen, climate-neutral industrial development, and strategic investment opportunities, reinforcing the strong partnership between German industry and the UAE as both nations advance toward ambitious sustainability and energy-transition goals.

The mission later continued in Doha, Qatar, where Minister Reiche held high-level meetings with senior government officials, including H.E. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs; Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance; and Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade. The delegation was also received by the Qatar Chamber, where discussions with industry leaders, utilities, and investment institutions focused on strengthening economic ties and exploring future partnerships, particularly in the areas of water management, sustainable technologies, and infrastructure solutions.
