His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in dialogue with selected business leaders

Oliver Hermes, President & Global CEO of the Wilo Group, met with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, during a high-level CEO meeting (“Majlis”) held as part of His Highness’s historic state visit to Germany. The meeting brought together selected German business leaders to exchange views on strengthening UAE–German cooperation across investment, advanced industry, technology, artificial intelligence, energy, and infrastructure.

During the exchange, Oliver Hermes presented Wilo’s long-term commitment to the UAE and the experience gained from becoming part of the country’s industrial development. He highlighted the importance of trust, political stability, security, and consistent leadership in creating an environment where international companies can invest, innovate, and grow.

Since entering the UAE in 2008, Wilo has developed from a local market presence into a regional manufacturing and export platform. Today, the UAE serves as Wilo AMEA’s regional headquarters, while our expanded JAFZA facility produces “Made in UAE” systems for export to more than 35 countries across the Global South.

The meeting represents a significant milestone for Wilo and reflects the strength of the relationships built through the company’s long-term presence in the UAE. It also reinforces Wilo’s position as an industrial partner connecting German engineering with the UAE, the wider region, and the Global South.
