Wilo Engages in High-Level German–Lebanese Dialogue in Beirut

Back to overview

20.02.2026

Beirut hosted high-level German–Lebanese engagements bringing together political leaders and private-sector representatives to strengthen economic and industrial cooperation.

Beirut hosted a series of high-level German–Lebanese engagements in February 2026, bringing together senior political representatives and private-sector leaders to exchange views on economic cooperation, industrial development, and long-term institutional collaboration. These engagements provided a platform for constructive dialogue at a time when regional and global dynamics continue to shape economic priorities and strategic partnerships.

Reflecting the Wilo Group’s continued commitment to responsible institutional engagement, Ayman Nassar, Managing Director of the Wilo Levant Platform, participated in two invitation-only events organized in this context.

A closed-door dinner discussion was organized by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) in Lebanon on the occasion of a visit by a CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group delegation from Germany. The delegation was led by Jens Spahn, Chairman of the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag, and included Jürgen Hardt, Paul Ziemiak, and Tijen Ataoğlu, Members of the German Bundestag. The discussion was attended by Lebanon’s Minister of Industry, H.E. Eng. Joe Issa El-Khoury, alongside representatives from the political, economic, and institutional spheres.

The exchanges focused on strengthening bilateral economic ties, fostering industrial cooperation, and exploring pathways for long-term engagement. Discussions also addressed the importance of resilient infrastructure, sustainable industrial development, and enhanced collaboration between the public and private sectors in navigating evolving regional challenges.

This engagement was followed by a formal reception hosted by the German Embassy Beirut during the official visit of Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Mrs. Elke Büdenbender to Lebanon. The reception took place on board the FGS Sachsen-Anhalt at the Port of Beirut, in the presence of H.E. Kurt Georg Stoeckl-Stillfried, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Lebanon, and Mrs. Christina Stillfried.

Wilo’s participation in these high-level engagements underscores its role as an active industrial partner contributing to dialogue at the intersection of industry, sustainability, and public cooperation. Through its regional presence, Wilo continues to support long-term collaboration and resilient infrastructure development, in alignment with the Group’s global sustainability commitments and its dedication to fostering constructive international partnerships.
