Wilo Middle East FZE, the leading pump manufacturer Headquartered in Germany, partook in the 19th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) held in Dubai during 23–25 October 2017. WETEX showed the latest developments in conventional and renewable energy around the world, and feature business opportunities and potential partnerships to drive business.
During the fair, we highlighted our success story of Dubai Metro where more than 800 Wilo pumps & systems are in operations and in May 2016, it marked the first Wilo-Emuport system to be installed in the Middle East to solve the problem of sewage blockage. Every second week blockage and flooding in the underground station of the Dubai Metro stations, Bad smell and high maintenance resources have faced the operator SERCO Blockage removal and cleaning of the station caused annually costs of 90.000 USD per year. Since May 2016 the system is working satisfactorily without single blockage and the problem has been vanished. Wilo was a part of the German pavilion this year to promote Wilo as a German brand among stakeholders.
