Airport Authority of India
Airport Authority of India
The Airport Authority of India (AAI) plays a critical role in developing, upgrading, and operating aviation infrastructure across India. Modern airports and aviation facilities demand highly reliable HVAC and building services systems to ensure uninterrupted passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and safety across terminals, administrative buildings, and critical control areas. As part of AAI’s infrastructure modernization initiatives, advanced pumping solutions have been deployed at key airport facilities in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and Central Delhi, supporting mission-critical HVAC operations under continuous, 24×7 operating conditions.
Both installations are designed to meet the stringent performance, reliability, and energy-efficiency requirements associated with aviation infrastructure, where system downtime is not acceptable and thermal stability is essential for passenger areas, IT systems, and operational control rooms.
Application & Pumps Used
Lucknow – CCS Airport, Terminal 3 (Uttar Pradesh)
At CCS International Airport, Lucknow, the newly constructed Terminal 3, opened in 2024, significantly enhances the airport’s passenger handling capacity for domestic and international travel. The HVAC pumping system is designed to support large terminal spaces, passenger lounges, retail areas, offices, and technology-intensive back-of-house facilities.
These end suction pumps ensure uninterrupted chilled water circulation across extensive piping networks and multiple AHUs. Their high hydraulic efficiency, compact footprint, and ease of maintenance make them ideal for large terminal environments. Integration with control panels enables demand-based operation, optimized energy consumption, and reliable performance aligned with modern airport sustainability goals.
New Delhi – Safdarjung Airport / AAI Administrative Facilities (Delhi)
At Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi, a critical aviation and administrative facility used for VVIP movements, training operations, and specialized aviation activities, a robust HVAC pumping system supports continuous cooling requirements. The system serves control rooms, terminal spaces, ATC-related facilities, IT infrastructure, and administrative areas where thermal stability and uninterrupted operation are essential.
NL end suction pumps are well suited for large chilled-water HVAC systems due to their ability to handle high flow rates with stable performance and reduced energy consumption. The integration of VSPS control panels enables variable-speed operation, reducing power usage during partial load conditions while maintaining consistent cooling output. This combination enhances system efficiency, reduces operational costs, and ensures continuous performance in aviation-critical environments.
