Environmental performances

Wilo India integrates environmental performance metrics into its core decision-making processes, ensuring sustainable growth with minimal ecological impact. Our key natural capital components include raw materials for production, water and energy consumption and waste generated during manufacturing. We are committed to minimizing waste through reduction, reuse and responsible disposal practices. Waste is carefully segregated into hazardous and non hazardous categories to ensure safe and compliant disposal. As part of our sustainability strategy aimed at achieving climate neutral production sites, we have installed solar PV electrical power generation plant at our Kesurdi & Kolhapur production sites.

Key Achievements:

  • CO₂ Emissions Avoided: By transitioning to solar power, we avoided approximately 1,420 metric tons of CO₂ emissions—comparable to the annual emissions of over 300 passenger vehicles.
  • Reduced Fossil Fuel Dependence: This shift significantly reduced our reliance on fossil fuels, a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Environmental Impact
  • Tree Equivalent: The emissions avoided are equivalent to the amount of CO₂ absorbed annually by nearly 67,619 mature trees, highlighting the tangible environmental value of our efforts
