Grasim Industries – Birla Paint Sparkle

Grasim Industries, part of the Aditya Birla Group, is one of India’s largest and most reputed manufacturers in the paint industry. The Birla Paint Sparkle project, spread across multiple manufacturing plants, involved the installation of advanced pumping solutions for their new greenfield project. The project required high-efficiency pumps for various process and cooling applications to optimize operational costs and improve system reliability.

Wilo’s PISO-M series was selected to address specific needs for process and cooling water applications, ensuring operational efficiency and energy savings. In a highly competitive field with brands like KSB, Johnson, and KBL, Wilo’s solution stood out by offering a comprehensive energy-efficient solution without exceeding power loading specifications, ensuring a competitive edge in the market.

The pumping solution supplied to Grasim Industries ensures high performance and energy efficiency in both process applications and cooling systems. The PISO-M Series pumps were specifically designed to handle high-viscosity fluids (approximately 200 CSt) required for the paint manufacturing process. This complex solution was customized to meet the unique requirements of the paint production process, including ensuring efficient fluid movement at the desired viscosity.

Wilo’s PISO-M pumps, with their semi-open impellers, are designed to handle challenging industrial applications and maintain high flow rates while minimizing energy consumption. The system also includes Atmos GIGA-N pumps and MISO HYPN systems, ensuring that the cooling water applications are efficiently managed.
