Dindrol Mukteshwar Project

Lift Irrigation Pipeline Project – Dindrol to Mukteshwar Reservoir

The Lift Irrigation Pipeline Project from Dindrol to Mukteshwar Reservoir is a strategic water infrastructure initiative undertaken by the Narmada and Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar Department, Government of Gujarat. Executed under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract model, the project is designed to enhance irrigation capacity and ensure reliable water conveyance to agriculturally important regions of Gujarat.

In addition to design and execution, the scope of the project includes operation and maintenance of the commissioned system for a period of 10 years, ensuring long-term operational reliability and performance sustainability. The project plays a critical role in optimizing water resource utilization, supporting agricultural productivity, and strengthening regional water security through dependable lift irrigation infrastructure.

Application & Pump Solutions

Segment: Water Products

Application: Irrigation

Pump Type / Product: Split Case Pumps

Number of Pumps: 8

The lift irrigation application demands pumping systems capable of handling high flow rates, continuous operation, and stable pressure delivery across long pipeline networks. Given the scale of water transfer from Dindrol to Mukteshwar Reservoir, system reliability and energy-efficient operation were essential design considerations to support uninterrupted agricultural water supply.

To meet these requirements, eight Split Case Pumps were installed as part of the pumping infrastructure. Split case pumps are particularly well suited for large-scale irrigation projects due to their high hydraulic efficiency, robust construction, and ease of maintenance. Their double-suction design minimizes axial thrust and ensures smooth operation under continuous duty conditions, enabling reliable water conveyance and long-term operational stability for this critical irrigation scheme.
