Dumariyaganj and Doharighat Pump Canal Projects
Dumariyaganj and Doharighat Pump Canal Projects
The Dumariyaganj and Doharighat Pump Canal Projects, undertaken by the Irrigation & Water Resources Department, Uttar Pradesh, are part of a NABARD-funded modernization initiative aimed at enhancing irrigation infrastructure and ensuring sustainable water distribution for agriculture. These projects are critical for improving canal efficiency, supporting irrigation needs, and strengthening rural agricultural ecosystems.
Wilo was selected for this large-scale lift irrigation scheme based on its strong technical capability, proven expertise in high-flow pumping systems, and ability to deliver complete solutions including supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC). The project required precise engineering, timely execution, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Wilo’s pumping solution was designed to efficiently lift and distribute large volumes of canal water, ensuring reliable irrigation supply across the command area. The vertical turbine pumps are responsible for high-volume water lifting, while the horizontal split case pumps ensure stable and efficient distribution within the canal network.
All pumps were uniquely engineered to meet the required discharge and head conditions while achieving up to 86% efficiency, ensuring optimal energy usage and long-term operational reliability. The system was designed in accordance with HIS standards and tailored based on detailed on-site studies to match the existing pump house conditions.
With synchronized operation across all pumps and a complete SITC scope, Wilo’s solution ensures consistent water delivery, reduced energy consumption, and dependable performance, supporting sustainable irrigation and agricultural productivity.
