SIP Amber Micro Irrigation Project

SIP Amber Micro Irrigation Project

The SIP Amber Micro Irrigation Project, undertaken by the Madhya Pradesh Water Resource Department, is a large-scale lift irrigation scheme designed to supply water to over 15,284 hectares of agricultural land through a pressurized piped distribution network. The project lifts water from the Narmada River across a significant elevation range, ensuring reliable irrigation supply to the Nasrullaganj region.

Wilo was selected for this prestigious project due to its proven performance in similar irrigation applications and ability to deliver synchronized, high-capacity pumping solutions. The project demanded seamless integration across multiple pumping stations and precise engineering to ensure reliability and efficiency under demanding operating conditions.

Wilo-Vertical Turbine

Application & Pumps Used

Lift Irrigation System:

  • Application: Water Lifting & Pressurized Distribution
  • Segment: Irrigation / Water Management

Pump Solutions Supplied:

  • Vertical Turbine Pumps
  • Horizontal Split Case Pumps

Total Pumps Installed: 22

Wilo’s pumping solution was engineered to lift and distribute large volumes of water from the Narmada River across multiple elevations, ensuring consistent supply to the irrigation network. The vertical turbine pumps handle high-capacity water lifting, while the horizontal split case pumps support efficient distribution within the system.

All pumps were uniquely configured to meet the required hydraulic head and discharge while minimizing standby requirements and reducing downtime. The system was designed as per HIS standards, supported by detailed sump model studies and validation to ensure optimal performance under site-specific conditions.

With synchronized operation across four pumping stations, Wilo’s solution ensures reliable, energy-efficient water delivery. This enables sustainable irrigation, improves agricultural productivity, and supports long-term water management in the region.
