Urmodi LIS Stage I Project
Urmodi LIS Stage I Project
The Urmodi Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS) Stage I, executed for the Water Resources Department of Maharashtra, is a large-scale irrigation project aimed at enhancing water availability across rural regions of Satara district. The project is designed to lift canal water and distribute it across multiple villages, supporting irrigation over a significant command area.
Wilo executed the complete electro-mechanical package, covering design, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning. The project required a highly integrated solution involving pumps, motors, piping systems, valves, and electrical infrastructure to ensure reliable and continuous irrigation supply.
Wilo’s solution was designed to efficiently lift water from the Urmodi canal and distribute it across the designated irrigation network. The vertical turbine pumps play a key role in handling high-volume water transfer with stable and efficient performance.
The system includes a complete electro-mechanical setup with delivery pipelines, NRVs, BFVs, HT/LT switchgear, and control panels, ensuring seamless integration and synchronized operation. The design ensures reliable operation across varying load conditions.
The project supports irrigation across 1,228 hectares, enabling consistent water supply to multiple villages. Wilo’s solution ensures operational reliability, improved water distribution efficiency, and long-term sustainability for agricultural development.
