Deposit-free cleaning with low-speed submersible mixers

Dortmund/Munich. Wilo is showcasing the low-speed submersible mixers from the Wilo-EMU TRE series at the IFAT, the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. The two- or three-blade mixers with their two-stage planetary gear support reliable and deposit-free microbiological wastewater treatment downstream of the mechanical treatment process.

After mechanical treatment, about 60 to 70% of the contaminants are still dissolved in the sewage. Microbiological processes are used to break down these contaminants. Submersible mixers such as the Wilo-EMU TRE generate the necessary flow and suspension in the activated sludge tank.

The Wilo-EMU TRE mixer series is characterised by its two-stage planetary gear and a balanced load on the clogging-free propeller blades, and therefore guarantees smooth running. In case of unfavourable inflow conditions, the submersible mixers can also be used with three propeller blades in order to further reduce the propeller blade load.

Thanks to a wide thrust range of 380 N to 4250 N as well as different propeller diameters of 1200 mm up to 2600 mm, the product family is suitable for a variety of tank geometries and depths. The innovative blade geometry and the energy-efficient IE3/IE4 motors (also in connection with frequency converters) ensure a high level of efficiency and reduce the energy and operating costs.
