Designed for demanding pumping operations, the series delivers high solids-handling capability, operational efficiency and simplified maintenance across a wide range of applications.

Buenos Aires, Argentina. As one of the world's leading providers of water management solutions, Wilo develops technologies designed to address the challenges of the water and wastewater, infrastructure, industrial and mining sectors. In this context, the Wilo-Atmos SXT/SXU series brings together self-priming centrifugal pumps engineered to provide operational reliability, robust performance and simplified maintenance in critical applications.

The series consists of two configurations designed to meet different pumping requirements. The Wilo-Atmos SXT stands out for its superior solids-handling capability, making it particularly suitable for liquids containing suspended solids and sludge. The Wilo-Atmos SXU, on the other hand, features an open multi-vane impeller designed to achieve higher heads and enhanced hydraulic efficiency while maintaining the ability to handle limited amounts of solids.

Performance and Reliability for Critical Applications
One of the key advantages of the series is its self-priming technology. The large volute hydraulic design enables automatic repriming in open systems, eliminating the need for suction or discharge check valves and contributing to simpler and more reliable operation. The range offers flow rates of up to 738 m³/h, heads of up to 61 meters, and operating temperatures of up to 71 °C, meeting the requirements of a wide variety of projects and operating conditions.

Built with rugged materials, the series features cast iron casings, ductile iron wear plates and impellers, as well as 316 stainless steel components, providing durability and consistent performance even in harsh environments. Available with discharge sizes ranging from 2" to 12", the pumps support a broad range of water, wastewater and solids-laden liquid transfer applications.

Benefits for Operations
In addition to hydraulic performance, the Wilo-Atmos SXT/SXU series has been designed to simplify maintenance activities and increase equipment availability. Key features include replaceable wear plates, clearance adjustment without disturbing the rotating assembly, back-pull-out design and the ability to perform adjustments without special tools. These features help reduce downtime, facilitate field maintenance activities and improve long-term system reliability.

The Wilo-Atmos SXT/SXU series is suitable for applications including:

  • Pumping stations;
  • Wastewater systems;
  • Stormwater and drainage systems;
  • Sewer networks;
  • Mining operations.

Available in several configurations to meet specific project requirements, the Wilo-Atmos SXT is offered in 3", 4", 6", 8" and 10" sizes, while the Wilo-Atmos SXU is available in 3", 4" and 6" versions. Combining self-priming technology, high solids-handling capability and maintenance-friendly design, the series provides a versatile solution for operations that demand efficiency, high availability and operational reliability.

With the Wilo-Atmos SXT/SXU series, Wilo reinforces its role as a strategic partner in addressing water management challenges across Latin America, offering solutions designed to enhance pumping system reliability and support more efficient operations in wastewater, drainage and mining applications.
